The stepper motor uses the electronic circuit to change the direct current into a time-sharing, multi-phase sequence control current, and use this current to supply power to the stepper motor to make the stepper motor work normally. In general, when the stepper motor fails, what method can be used to judge whether the stepper motor is faulty? Today, the editor of stepper motor manufacturer will share with you two practical methods, which can make judgments quickly and easily.
If the stepper motor fails, there are two ways to judge whether it is damaged: first separate each wire of the stepper motor without connecting any equipment and wires. Do not touch the wire and turn the shaft by hand. A good motor should only need a certain amount of force to rotate smoothly. There is no jamming in the middle. Position, inner rotor, stator wear. The damage should be caused by excessive force. The impedance of the "adjacent" two phases of the multimeter can be equal to the coil impedance given by the product.
For example, when the machine detects idling, it should be able to reach the specified speed. Under normal speed, the noise should be stable. In addition to this, load testing is required. Special test parameters require comprehensive load torque, motor torque, etc. Twist all the cables together, the bigger the motor, the more force required to tighten it, a normal stepper motor can't be twisted manually. (The more you twist a wire, the more force you need.) If it doesn't work, it means there's a problem with the coil. Test on the machine, when idling, it should be able to reach the specified speed, and under normal speed, the noise should be stable. In addition to this, load testing is required. Special test parameters require comprehensive load torque, motor torque, etc. Second, screw all the cables together, the bigger the motor, the more force required to screw it, the ordinary stepper motor can't be screwed manually. (The more you twist a wire, the more force you need.) If it doesn't work, it means there's a problem with the coil.
For synchronous motors, in addition to the above methods, it is also necessary to carefully observe it, which cannot be ignored. If there is a gap on the rotor, it is not well positioned and small, the nails cannot be inserted, and the power is at least 20% off. At this time, it is very easy to lose the possibility of step, and it is recommended to replace it; and the stepping motor cannot be inserted into the nail. The probability of burning out the power coil of the stepper motor is relatively small, the damage to the encoder and the connector is more common, and the step failure is the encoder failure.
