57 stepper motor is a very commonly used stepper motor model. In order to get better motor use effect, it is necessary to match a motor driver with characteristics that match the motor.

At present, the common SS2301A42A, MD-2545, SR4, etc. on the market are all good choices. However, after the stepper motor driver is selected, it may not have the good effect you expected. Generally speaking, the reasons are as follows:

1. Driver voltage: The high application voltage of the common 57 motor driver is about 50VDC. When the lower 24V is selected, the high-speed effect is not as good as 48V.

2. Selection of current: It is not that the larger the current, the better, but in the case of ensuring the torque, try to choose a small current to reduce noise and vibration.

3. If the voltage is normal, there is no problem in the selection of current subdivision, but the effect is not ideal, then it is necessary to check whether the parameters of the 57 stepper motor are reasonable. Under normal circumstances, for a 57 stepper motor with high and low speed, depending on its length, the resistance value should be from 0.4 ohms to about 1 ohms, and should not be too large. If the resistance and inductance of the motor are too large, its high-speed performance has nothing to do with the choice of the 57 stepper motor driver. Generally speaking, the high-speed characteristics of this type of motor are not very good. Therefore, the resistance and inductance of the motor are also very important factors.

4. Select a reasonable number of subdivisions, and at the same time take into account the capability and limitations of the pulse sending frequency of the host computer.
